The River Forum is a visioning exercise undertaken by KORA for a new mixed-use civic destination along Fort Lauderdale’s waterfront, bringing together public life, hospitality, and residential living within a vertically integrated development.
At the base, a sculptural civic building opens toward the water and creates a series of interconnected public spaces for community, cultural, and event programming. Its flowing landscaped terraces extend the public realm upward, blurring the boundary between architecture, park, and waterfront promenade.
Rising above, a slender tower accommodates a combination of hotel and residential uses, positioned to capture expansive views across the city and waterways. The tower and civic podium are conceived as a single composition—pairing a highly public, accessible ground plane with private hospitality and residential uses above.
The project creates a new civic anchor for Fort Lauderdale: a place to gather, stay, live, and engage with the waterfront.
